After months of talking about it, we finally went to the botanical garden this past weekend. Every year, the botanical garden has a chrysanthemum exposition from the end of October until about the middle of November, so we thought this would be a good time to go.
The entry to the garden is only 5 lei (€1,25). As is typical for botanical gardens, they have flowers and green. While they were beautiful, our mission was to see the chrysanthemums. On our way to the green house, there was another green house with pumpkins and other tropical (and less tropical) plants. I don’t know the connection between these if you ask me, but I’m sure it makes sense in whoever set the whole thing up.
The chrysanthemum exposition was way smaller than we had imagined. It was quite a small green house, so when you come in you can see everything in one glance. Nevertheless, it was very beautiful, and we took our time looking at the flowers. With taking our time I mean we were done in 5 minutes.
After the exposition, we made our way down to the lake. Everyone and their momma talks about this lake so we had high expectations. We know we shouldn’t have. It makes, however, for a great stroll and dare I say workout. Much needed after all the delicious food here. Felt skinny immediately.
All in all, it’s definitely worth it to go to the botanic garden, even without the exposition. It makes for a great walk in nature, which was much appreciated and needed.
